bought these to use to serve pizza (the frozen kind from the store) to the kids which are usually 12" pizzas. they are pretty sturdy and seem to hold up well even with hot pizza on them. i cut the pizza on my baking stone first, though. you couldn't cut the pizza on these trays! i also use them when my 2-year old wants to play with water cups at the kitchen table or for my 3-year old to play with playdough. they are holding up quite well with 'alternate' uses (besides serving food!)
