Fun toy for many ages

We bought these for our 4 year old. I think they are really cool and thought he'd love them since he likes building with legos. He isn't too into them on his own but if I am helping him build or instruct him to make shapes he will play along. This comes with big flash cards to show ideas on how to make different shapes or objects. It's made to size so you can lay magnets right on top of the cards and make a house or rocket, etc. It also comes with a bunch of car designs to make. My older son (10) enjoyed making the cars more than my 4 year old. He enjoyed making the shapes

This is a great Magformer, especially for the car enthusiast. There are pictures of many different cars to be built, and with a little creativity your young (or old) engineer can make modifications of their choosing. This is even more true if you have other Magformers with with to work. The little man in the car is a nice addition, too. Most Magformer sets don't have that little nugget of fun. My kids (seven, five, and 18 months) all enjoy Magformers; they are also fun for mom and dad to play with, too (BONUS)! I think they will be a much-loved toy at our house. Friends and family of all ages enjoy sitting down and constructing. This set also comes with some sturdy pages that you can use as templates, though it would have been better to see these pages bound together in some way.
We also have a large magnetic board in our house, so it's fun to make artistic scenes with all the different shapes.

Been watching the magnetic toy trend for years and couldn't decide between Magformers, MagnaTiles, etc. This 16-pc set was on sale and I snapped it up. Just enough pieces to test out and especially chosen bc it is a vehicle set. Our crew plays with it every day and it is a win with all ages (7y, 5y, 18m). The pieces all "nest" together for easy storage. I pop the two stacks in my bag for doctor appointments or road trips. I'm most amazed by all the configuration instruction pages included. They are full-sized and exact, so the child can use exactly the colour piece shown and lay it on the page exactly as pictured to create the vehicle or object. Looking forward to our next Magformers set.
