Great protection for krav maga! Diamond's big advantage is the quad strap system that holds the cup in place with no shifting, period. It provides AMAZING protection compared to others!

I would have given it a 5, but sizing is off, the waist drawstring is cheap, and the cup gets hot compared to others. I'll deal with the heat for the protection it provides. Come on diamond, I have more heavy duty drawstrings in casual shorts! The cup does seams a bit smaller/confined than others or it could be just the position and how tightly it is held against the body. But the tight confines of the cup doesn't compromise its protection which is top notch!

I'm 6' and range from 235 to 240 pounds with big thighs and typically wear a size 38" waist athletic jean and 40" to sometimes 42" dress pants. According to diamonds sizing chart a large goes to 38". Originally ordered an XL and the straps were too tight around my thighs and the inseam of the shorts too short and very uncomfortable. Went up to a XXL and the quad straps fit great, but the compression short is very loose. You can't rely on the drawstring because its to thin and hard to tie tightly, that's my biggest gripe.

I wont lie and say its comfortable, but you will forget you are wearing it when you are getting punched in the face.

The best protection I have worn. It fits better than any of the others. I do martial arts with a lot of grappling and these have saved me more than once and are comfortable as well.

So far it looks good I haven't used it yet in my HEMA class yet. Although it has a strong plastic smell you definitely better wash it before wearing! I will leave the second review once I've used it.

I researched this product after being kicked in the groin WHILE WEARING GROIN PROTECTION. How does this happen? Clearly, the protection I had wasn't adequate; the kick stopped me dead in my tracks, and while I was able to continue, the experience definitely got me into a contemplative frame of mind, if you know what I mean! Diamond works because it positions protection over the entire groin area, and not just a portion of it. Thus, even a thrusting kick, with prying, upturned toes, will not manage to circumvent your protective "wall." In sum, this is groin protection specifically for fighters; if you're a fighter, this is what you need! The shorts are really comfortable, and so is the cup: It's not too wide, nor is its "beak" too pronounced. With this item, you can be both comfortable and secure.
