Terrible grind (way too course), messy, puts out too much coffee at lowest setting, loud. Waste of money.
Dom•January 15, 2018
I want to love this grinder. After all, it is a great idea. I love my Keurig, and love my solofill cups as it offers flexibility and access to virtually any coffee available. The idea here is perfect, grind the perfect amount, for easy, no mess coffee. And that is where the perks end.
For a solofill to work good, coffee has to be ground to a fine, espresso grind. because coffee is passed through the filter at a much higher rate than drip machines, it does not have the time to absorb the coffee courser grinds. This grinder's smallest setting is course at best, and the result, even on a smaller cup of coffee, is about a half cup of hot water.
Next, whoever built in the timing on this grinder horribly failed at their job. On the lowest setting, "1", it should grind the perfect amount of coffee for a solofill cup, right? WRONG! It overflows every time, and I have found myself over the last year counting to between 10-11 seconds before stopping it manually so it doesn't make a huge mess. Epic fail on the manufacturers part.
Next, even if we can overcome the two largest downfalls above (which is the whole reason to buy this thing in the first place!), the solofill attachment traps ground coffee above the cup (since it is a 90 degree angle to push the coffee into the cup) until a large amount builds up, and then drops that as well, making an even bigger mess.
Finally, this grinder is incredibly loud. Loud enough that I think OSHA would require hearing protection. Because of its violent, not so fine grind, it vibrates and moves all over the counter. I had to put this on a towel just to get it from walking all over the counter.
I used this for a year, which was probably 11.5 months too long. Please don't buy this grinder if you like the flavor of coffee - I spent so much time cleaning my counter and the attachment - it saved me absolutely nothing. And to top it all off, I drank watered down coffee because I wanted to like this product. I've pulled out my old grinder that can handle a real, fine grind and this thing is going in the trash.

KUDOS Solofill!!
Bill•June 8, 2017
I was pretty excited when it arrived.I tried it out and was thrilled with grind quality and I filled my k-cup and brewed a perfect cup. So I tried the "fill-the-cup" feature and got coffee grounds everywhere! After checking everything, I discovered that no matter what setting I used, the Solofill kept grinding ~3 tablespoons of coffee...way too much for the cup.
After searching on-line for the solution (I couldn't find one), I contacted Solofill by email (on Wednesday, the 7th). I explained the situation and informed them that this "auto-fill" feature was the reason I purchased this burr grinder over others. If I had to monitor the process or manually stop the grind, this grinder was of no use to me.
I received a response the SAME day saying they were shipping me a new unit! Incredible! That was Wednesday the 7th. The unit arrived today (Saturday the 10th) and after some testing, found it to work perfectly! No more flying coffee grounds and a perfectly filled cup.

I love this. The lid is a bit easy to break off. Unfortunately, that is where the "on/off" switch is...so if you can't get it back in just right, the unit is useless. I had to replace this one because I broke the lid in a move. Otherwise...this is awesome. it makes using the DIY Keurig filters a snap. It grinds just the right amount of coffee for the filter. If you live in a humid environment, the snap in unit for the filters will clog...its a pain...but still worth it. As a dedicated coffee addict...I can't live without this. You get fresh ground coffee for your Keurig. I do wish they had a unit that adapted to the Keurig 2.0 carafe filters...future upgrade???
WONDERFUL! Best grinder I ever owned.

This is great. Grinds coffee just right and the single pod holder just grinds the perfect amount of coffee for one pod. It also has a larger container if you want to grind enough coffee to make up to 11 pods at once then automatic stops. The only thing I don't like about it is the grind adjustment is in the back so if you want to change the fineness of the you have to pick up the grinder and turn it around to change it, but once you have the degree of grind you want, your set. Easy to clean. The start and stop buttons are on top. If you don't have the catcher in properly, the grinder will not operate, which is nice if you accidentally hit the start button.
FABULOUS FIND

We purchased coffee beans in Kona,HI and used the Solofill Sologrind for our first cup in the new house. Filled perfectly, grind needed slight adjustment, but easily accomplished. We now solely use coffee beans and our Solofill Sologrind for a perfect cup of coffee every time. LOVE IT!
