Absolutely one of the best Bar-B-Q sauces you will find. Gates is a regional restaurant with a strong presence in the Kansas City area. The sauce is slightly spicy and uses a fair amount of pepper. Consistency is medium to thin. It is not a sauce that will "stick". We use this sauce on ribs, chicken, and even poured over things like a ham sandwich. For those of you on the East Coast, this sauce is different than what you will find in your supermarket.

I've eaten a ton of BBQ over the years and this is absolutely without any reservation, the best BBQ sauce in the world. When you eat at the restaurants they even have a sign by the sauce asking that you don't use soup cups for the sauce. It's that good!

I have been looking for this BBQ sauce on the internet for several years, but until this June I have not found it at a reasonable price (including shipping) until now thanks to Amazon Prime. I used to get it every summer from a relative who used to travel to Kansas City on business and would bring me a bottle each year. The stuff is the BEST. It does not overwhelm but subtly and distinctly flavors whatever meats you barbecue.
