Primula Avalon Whistling Kettle - Whistling Spout, Locking Spout Cover, and Stay-Cool Handle - Stainless Steel - 2.5 Quarts - Brushed Stainless Steel

Key features
- •WHISTLING TEA KETTLE: The first kettles were used in ancient Mesopotamia for non-cooking purposes. Over time, these artistically decorated earthenware containers became more frequently utilized in the kitchen. Travelers used the kettles to boil fresh water to make it suitable for drinking. At Primula, we've combined this antique simplicity with modern innovations to bring you our efficient and easy to use Avalon Stainless Steel Whistling Kettle.
- •EXCEPTIONAL DESIGN: Unlike other kettles made from materials like copper, iron, aluminum, chrome, and ceramic, stainless steel kettles are lightweight and boast a bright finish and noteworthy durability. Not only is the Primula Avalon Whistling Kettle crafted with high quality stainless steel, it also features a whistling spout to notify you when the water has reached a boil, a stay-cool handle that doesn't overheat like metal handles, easy trigger release, and a removable lid.
- •FIRST USE INSTRUCTIONS: Before first use, it is suggested that you rinse the interior of our whistling kettle and fill approximately half the kettle with water, boil, and then discard.
- •EASY TO USE AND CLEAN: To use, fill kettle with cold water and place on a stovetop burner. Wait until the kettle whistles and remove it from the heat source, then pour over your favorite Primula teas. To clean, hand wash only. Do not use a dishwasher.
- •SPECIFICATIONS: Package includes (1) Brushed Stainless Steel 2.5 qt. Stainless Steel Primula Avalon Whistling Kettle.

Great kettle!

I am very happy with this kettle, both for its style and functionality. The clean lines and stainless steel look great in the kitchen. It works well on the induction stove-top. Water heats quickly, the whistle tone is loud but not overbearing. Handle stays cool for pouring, too.
Just Beautiful

The picture shown does not do justice to how beautiful the tea kettle is in person.....Truely happy with purchase!
Great design!

This tea kettle's design is really great. Don't know how the manufacturer did it but the kettle is a one-piece construction. There is no bottom seam so it can never leak; which is what happened to my previous kettle by a different manufacturer. Also, the kettle is very easy to clean. Additionally, the smaller size is great in that it heats water faster. The price point is also great. Highly recommend this kettle.
Great kettle!

I spent SO much time reading reviews and looking at kettles before buying this one. It's been a few months and I still love it! The whistle is loud enough to hear from other rooms, it has held up great, and it's super easy to use. I fill it up from the spout (with the whistle lifted open) instead of removing the cover under the handle. Handle doesn't get too hot to pour. Overall, really pleased with this!

I just about exhausted myself looking for the perfect tea kettle on Amazon! So many to choose from, and so many bad reviews peppered in with the raving praises. I didn't know what to believe, but knew I needed something built well, beautiful, and rust resistant. Naturally, I am a bad girl when it comes to making sure I empty my kettle after each session! I brew tea all day, a couple times at least, and being that I use expensive (to me) filtered water I have trucked into the house for this, I don't want to just dump out whatever is left over. So, that was my main concern.
This kettle is really neat! The inside is sandblasted stainless steel, providing a surface that naturally repels rust. So far so good! I don't know about the lid, so I do take it off when I'm done and add it to the drying rack. The lid fits perfectly, and the silicone lined handles are truly unique and a joy to touch each day. The buttons for the whistle tip are very easy to reach and push, very functional and beautiful. The whistle is nothing short of deafening! Yeah, baby! That's what I'm talking about! The "wide mouth" top makes it easy to fill using my water dispenser.
My only complaint is that the bottom paint is easily scratched on the stove's coils. When we get a gas range someday (because come on, isn't that the only real way to cook? Am I right?) I am certain the same will be an issue. My solution has always been to place it on the coils, and not slide it. Tell that to my child! That's when the paint was scraped. Booh kids! hehe Oh well, the sides and top look great still, so just keep that in mind. If you're picky about your things as I am, a thorough lesson on how to handle will be necessary!
The color. Oh! The color! Let me just say, it is the most deep almost multi-dimensional, jewel toned, alluring finish I have ever seen on a tea pot! It just about glows on my stove! So. Beautiful. I would imagine you couldn't go wrong with any of the available colors. Lastly, I contacted the manufacturer because I needed to verify the interior was sand blasted and not teflon coated (we have birds, teflon is banned from our home!) and they were kind enough to call me at home and discuss it with me! They are so sweet! On top of that, they gave me an invitation to try their other pots out someday and offered a discount code to me just for calling. They were so wonderful. Now, I really prefer to shop on Amazon for the low prices, convenience of easy returns and free shipping, ups pick up etc, but it gives me great peace of mind to know that this is the company I would be dealing with if anything ever went wrong with my tea kettle. They only have one customer service person, so you really know you're dealing with a special business. It would be easy to call that sweet woman and ask for help should I ever need it, and I doubt she would leave me high and dry.
I say this is one great deal. It's beautiful beyond compare, just as functional, has built in safety features like silicone on both the lid and handle, heats up fast (FYI medium heat only!) and has a heart warming company standing behind it in case you need something. I don't know what more I could ask for, beyond of course, it making my tea and serving it for me! Buy with confidence!
