Needed these to replace the failed living hinge type of my Craftsman socket set case. As can be seen they worked fine providing a secure and sound fastening.

Not for outdoor or where moisture may lurk they rusted overnight

Be sure that the size is what you are looking for. I did not check carefully and after delivery realize they are too small for my use. Unfortunately it appears you cannot return these items if you're not satisfied with them.

These units are much smaller than I thought they would be. ordered them to hold the lids down on some bench seats. To small and insufficient pull travel to work. Oh well, I will find some other use some day.

Don't laugh, but I bought these latches to attach to our stainless steel trash can to keep our dog from lifting the lid and pulling everything out! This little latch was absolutely perfect! It's discreet, hangs out of the way when not in use and best of all, keeps the dog out without having to do anything stupid like put the trash can on a counter. One thing to note...these latches don't come with any screws or rivets or anything, so plan to visit the hardware store for what you need.
