Does what it's supposed to and Lifetime warranty!

The Dehumidifier works just as expected. It does get warm but not too hot where it will elevate the internal temperature a great deal. Placed on the bottom it keeps my safe at 72 Deg and have absolutely no issues with humidity even with daily access. The best part about it is if the unit ever fails it is covered under the lifetime warranty which is why I purchased this over some of the other cheaper ones. Worth the investment in my opinion.
Gun Safe that’s stored outside in garage... in Midwest...

One of many devices I use to keep my refrigerator size gun safe outside in a non heated garage. If you're interested in what I did, here is my rundown.
Cold weather storage...
1. 24" goldenrod on the bottom floor of safe.
2. One Peet Dryer (small one) - second shelf.
3. Some of those rechargeable - moisture grabbing crystals. $12
My safe has 3 ac and 2 USB ports for power....
My Safe maintains a steady 66f with 45 humidity level. This is maintained when outside temperatures are 25 to 40.
I have yet to experience what happens when the temperature drops to zero, but my garage will still be in the 20's. I'm confident the safe temperature will stay between 55 - 65.
I only need the dehumidifier crystals in the summer for some reason. Now that it's cold the crystals stay blue. In the summer they go pink an 5 days.
For those of you wondering about garage or basement storage, that's my experience.

This thing gets hot. The picture shows plastic pieces holding the rod up. My order did Not come with these. I had to get blocks of scrap wood to keep the rod off the felt surface in safe. Rod seems to be working in my 64 gun safe but 3 stars , would give 2.5 if I could, becasue package in my opinion was not complete with out the plastic pieces to raise the rod.

Not happy with performance. I have another silicon-based safe dryer that fills up with moisture in addition to the 12 inch Goldenrod that is plugged in all the time. The 12 in rod is rated for 100 cu ft and my safe is only 23 cu ft. Wish I'd have bought next size up.
