It was good while it lasted! We used this grinder regularly and were satisfied. It recently had an electrical malfunction and trips the breaker when we plug it in and doesn't work. We've tried it in multiple circuits with the same result.
There is a limited one year warranty which we are out of but even if we were in the window, you are responsible for shipping. It would never really make sense for a $16 item to be shipped back for repair.

This may be highly rated by Cooks Illustrated but the blade is too high from the bottom to really get a good grind. I am very disappointed with the grinder. I tried different ways of grinding; 1 second pulses, 4-5 seconds at a time. Part of the coffee grind is fine, and then there are chunks, no matter what I do. I wouldn't even use this for a spice grinder. I am very surprised this was so highly rate by CI.
