This is not real li hing mui!
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•February 8, 2018
I was born and raised in Hawaii and lived there for 30 years. I ate hundreds of li hing mui from many different brands. This to me doesn't resemble anything that taste similar to li hing mui. Don't waste your time or money on this product. I'm either going to see if I can return this, otherwise it's going straight in the trash. It tastes like weird salty dust with no plum flavor at all. It's not even tangy or sweet. Save your money and look elsewhere. Lin's market li hing mui found on different websites is a way better option. It's also very natural, only plums salt and sugar, no aspartame or saccharin.
Does not taste at all like expected.

I was looking for a less expensive option for purchasing KAJ's white li hing mui. This seemed like it would be it. Far from it!. I did not like it at all. The white powder coating has a sweet taste but also a hint of a bite similar to baking powder. Once the white is gone, the seed is way too salty. I couldn't even finish one.
Kind of disappointed that satisfaction is not guaranteed with this purchase. Amazon should not sell it.

Tastes like I ate a packet of Equal
Zutroy Terwilliger✓ Verified Purchase•November 15, 2017
I grew up on these and hadn't had any in many years. These taste nothing like what I remember. They're coated in so much aspartame I felt like I was just eating packets of Equal. Not to mention there was little to no edible plum around the pits. Extremely disappointed.
Tasty Chinese Plums
Charlie✓ Verified Purchase•September 5, 2017
These plums are exactly what I grew up on. My dad used to buy them when he'd ride down to Chinatown in NYC. Not many people I know like them. These plums taste very fresh but they do not have a lot of meat (plum) on them. I wish they meatier. Still, when I have another craving, I would buy them again.
Plums are on main strip inside supermarket. I don't remember the name of the street but supermarket on right side of street. Same as restaurant on corner with pork in window. I have not been there in 4-5 years now.
