Sizes were confusing. I am 5'4" about 150lbs. I ended up having to buy a second pair and returning the first. 15c 14h was too tight on my calf. I had to go up to 16c 15h, & now I am thinking they are too loose.
I wore the larger pair for the first time yesterday for a riding lesson. I could definitely feel a good difference and felt the half chaps helped a lot. I wish they were a bit more snug but as a beginner these work just fine

The circumference of my calf is 16 inches. I ordered a large and they fit. The material is quite grippy and provides good contact. The zipper is strong. I would buy these again.

AWFUL. Way way way too small. And too long! Do yourelf a favor and go have yourself fitted at a store for some Ariat half chaps. Cause these just don't cut it.

I'm a pretty new rider and after my instructor has been telling me for weeks ( months) to get half chaps I finally ordered these. I was nervous about measuring because I have never owned a pair before. But I ask my husband to measure me and he did. They seem to fit great and are such a huge improvement over just jeans!!
