Not perfect, but worth it.

The tip is not as thin as one would like when staples are firmly embedded into their location. If they are loose, it works great, if one gently rocks the tip in all the way and then pulls with even pressure on both sides. If not, only one side of the staple will come out, and a pliers will be necessary to pull the remainder out. Not perfect, but worth it.
Incredible!

OMG, this makes the job of removing upholstery staples SO much easier! Many people told me to just use a flat screw driver and plyers, but after just one chair top my shoulder and hand hurt so much I could not continue. I got on my amazing Amazon and had my Crain 126 Staple remover in a few short days. I finished the rest of the chair tops very quickly. I still needed to use the plyers to pull the lifted staple out, but WOW, what a difference when you use the right tools!
A MUST for removing staples from floors

First timers removing carpets and pads on stairs, 3 bedrooms and small hallway. Purchased this to remove a ton of staple from the sub-floor. I researched and was glad I didn't settle for instant gratification by going to a local Lowes or Home Depot (who didn't carry this tool) and getting something they had in stock. This tool ROCKS! It was able to get up staples that had pad still stuck under some and staples that looked like they had been hammered into the sub-floor (almost counter-sunk).

Held up great and with my slightly arthritic fingers, didn't bother bother them at at. Only way to make this tool better would be to give it a rubbery soft grip (think OXO soft grip brand kitchen utensils).

This is the one for removing floor staples. It took me 2 hours to destaple the carpet and padding staples from an 8 x10 room using pliers, scredrivers... etc. It took me about 25 minutes to do it ( and less damage to floor) with this. Sturdy and ergonomic. personally , if I were to chage this I would make the handle a bit longer and apply a thin foam rubber coating for comfort and non slip. This is my second one ( bought one for a helper) and they are super durable and strong steel tip. Worth the money , even if you only have one room to do.
So good! just perfect for the job.

Wow! It is my first time doing upholstery and I've got a really challenging old furniture which had been upholstered at least twice, so I had thousands of staples, different sizes of tacks and even nails to take off from the wood frame (no kidding), and this little tool is simply amazing, strong, very easy to grip and it also holds the staple for you to pull it... it would be necessary at least 2 different tools to do the same job, so it also is a time saving. My hands are small and my wrists kind of weak... so I am positive it is perfect for anyone, men and women. You can buy it without concerns. You won't regret. (please forgive my English, it's not my primary language)
