My three-year old LOVES it. I put it together myself in 2-3 hours. I'm a 5'2" female, so I was a little concerned with putting together the loft part of this and did have to get a little creative. Couple of the dowels broke pretty easily when i was trying to put this together on its side. Seems to be pretty sturdy., despite that. :) I strung up some LED lights, bought a little bookshelf to go under it and threw all of her stuff animals and a very fuzzy, thick sleeping bag. We have the coziest little nook in the house.
A very fun and sturdy bed option

The bed is very solid and my 5 year old daughter loves it. The slide is actually pretty fast - I have to make sure she doesn't wear socks, or she will slide all the way into her bookshelf across the room. There was one slight defect in one of the pieces (hole drilled off center) - but it was easily tweaked with a drill. The bed arrived very quickly - within a couple weeks. The only down side is that I can't read stories to her in her bed. I don't want to risk my weight on it and I can't just pull up a chair. And she has bumped her head a couple times going into the fort - to be expected. We used an 8" mattress and it is very comfortable and leaves plenty of room for the railing to protect her. I already have one friend's daddy cursing me because now he has to get one for his daughter.
Sturdy bed; dimensions.

My husband & I built this last weekend. It took both of us a solid 3 hours working together/holding, etc. but not 5 or 6 like some reviews. The instructions were very well written, but slow & steady wins the race. The hardest part was screwing down the 13 slats & back support strip without pre-drilled holes. Overall, this bed seams very sturdy (even for a 140 lb. woman to climb up, though I didn't try the slide), the part count was exact, and our almost 5 year old loves it! As far as dimensions go, the inside "hole" is approx. 74-7/8 x 39-1/2, so the twin mattress we bought is a very snug fit on the sides. It took both of us to get the bedding on & tucked in, not that a single couldn't do it, but it might be a struggle. Height from slats to top of rails in approx. 13-1/2". It fits the 8" plush mattress (Modern Sleep Advantage/Classic Brands) we purchased, but I wouldn't go any deeper.
Cute bed once we got all the pieces and were able to assemble.

After several setbacks, we got all the pieces for this bed. Be aware that it ships in 2 boxes. We got one box one day and the other a couple of days later. Then, we were not sent all the pieces to put it together properly. However, the vendor bent over backwards to ship us the pieces we needed and my grandson and his sisters love this bed. It seems to be fairly well made and seems sturdy. Hopefully it will last for a few years.
A great buy!

This bed it too cute for my 4 yr old. Great price for the look I was going for in her room. The tent is an excellent way to keep her toy mess out of sight. Easy setup (with 2 people). I was skeptical about getting a bed that I had to put together. Would it be sturdy? Yes. Definitely a good buy. I would recommend to anyone.
