Seemed a little flimsy after installing while the boat was on the trailer. After using the ladder in the water I'm very pleased with the construction, it works very well.

As an fyi, as mentioned by other reviewers, there are no mounting instructions, or hardware. However, it is a simple install, with 1/4" stainless steel bolts. I haven't tested it out yet, but I am concerned about the ladder not hanging straight down. It is at a slight angle. I looked at it many, many times before I installed, and there is only one way to install. I actually had to go online and verify that I got the over the platform model that I had ordered. I'm 6'2", 230, and the main reason I ordered this ladder was because of the higher weight capacity, but with it not hanging straight down, I am concerned. I guess I'll find out on the water, lol. Other than that I'd give it 5 stars.

absolutely perfect
The factory unit would not reach the water and was useless for water-boarding

Used this to replace the front sliding/flip ladder on my 2016 AR240. The factory unit would not reach the water and was useless for water-boarding. Wait...water boarding? Anyway, this unit makes it easy to board from the water and is as well built as the OEM unit.
