I have lots of solar lights. For whatever reason they are my thing. I have gotten two of these Luci units over the years. They are unique in their size and their compactness. If you are backpacking and are concerned about the weight you are carrying, this is your product. However, if you're more concerned with the amount of light output and the money you're spending, there are better choices. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having this little unit. But if I were to just be buying for it's use in a power outage, this wouldn't be my Top Choice.

But I have taken it camping and it's great for use inside the tent. Just make sure that you don't keep it where it can be scorched, stuck or ripped as that will defeat the whole purpose of having an inflatable lamp.

I ordered the MPowered Luci Inflatable Solar Light to use. I wanted something that did use up batteries or that needed to be plugged in. I decided on this one because it had very good reviews. I now know I made the right choice! The light came with some power in it and is perfect for my needs. It is easy to inflate, easy to turn on/off, and all around easy to use. It has an indicator that shows the battery level and holds a charge really well. Since I only use it at night when I need to navigate through the house in the dark, I haven't needed to charge it yet. I really like that it can be deflated to take up less space, that it is durable and that it has different brightness settings. I do wish had a dimmer light setting, but I'm still completely satisfied and hope to buy more soon.

This is my second inflatable solar light by Luci. We like these because we never have to worry about batteries when we go camping. How long does it last? I can't tell you exactly because we turn it on to get to our tent and then we have it on while we snuggle in for bed. When we wake up in the AM it is full dead. I like that you can just recharge it again the next day. It packs very small for backpacking too. It gives off a nice bright glow while we need it for tasks after dark and doesn't attract bugs like some lanterns do. The only issue I have with this light is that I'm sometimes not sure whether to hold it up or down. With the lights facing up, they blind you and you can't see your path, and with the lights facing down, you need to hold it up high to see whats near your face (if brush and sticks are a concern). It would be nice if it gave off light from both top and bottom like a traditional lantern.

well, i like this lite.. at first i loved it.. i ordered one and had it for a little while and decided to order more. one for me and 3 for some coworkers. the first lite i got had one end with a yellow back color and the lites were located to where they shined from that end. the charge on it lasts for probably 8 maybe a little more.. the last 3 don't last near as long (2 maybe 3 hrs), they are a different brand and the lites are placed on the opposite end of where the "handle" is and so if you want to hang it kinda low, it blinds you, so you have to set it down on a flat surface so you can have the lites pointed downward, out of your eyes. not satisfied with the last three.. sorry but the first one is still going strong and if i knew i would get more from that same brand i would order more, but i don't wanna take that chance.

Little lantern puts out a lot of light! This was really handy for our Halloween trick-or-treating. It rained this year, adding slick roads to the danger of nighttime traffic. We took the children around as a group and this light lit the way for all the adults (no one had brought a flashlight) and made it easy for our son to spot his parents in the crowd, ensuring he didn't get to far ahead of the group.

I set the Luci to charge in a windowsill for about 8 hours of sunlight, deflated it and stored it flat on a shelf until it was needed Halloween night, about two weeks later. It lit up and glowed for several hours that night without even flickering or dimming. Multiple people admired it, switching it on and off through it's various settings of low, high, flash and off. It even got curious inquiries and compliments from strangers out with their children as well.

Not only is this a great light to have on hand for emergencies but it's going to prove useful during family camp outs (we camp as a family about 6 times per year and my husband and son rack up another 3-6 camp outs with boy scouts). I also plan on using it during night time activities at New Year's and July 4th. I love that I don't have to suddenly worry about batteries as the sun is sinking in the sky during busy, eventful holidays when it would be difficult to run to the store in all the traffic - if you can even get to the store because the roads have been shut down for the parade/fireworks show/trick or treaters. This light makes my life a teensy bit easier!
