Used this while rebuilding a Ford inline six cylinder engine. Used on Main Bolts & bolt holes, rod bolts, cylinder head bolts & bolt holes. Worked fantastic...could tighten all bolts by hand all the way. Made torque values accurate. Highly recommended!

If you work on older American vehicles with SAE fasteners, this is a must-have. Does a great job of cleaning up threads on both bolts and threaded holes or nuts. I prefer over taps because there's no way these will accidentally cut threads. Use like taps - a dab of cutting oil, and back out a turn or two when it gets caught up.

Quality wasn't good enough for my needs. One of the dies was defective. I ruined a couple of bolts before I realized the problem was with the die and not the bolts. Returned for refund.

The tap broke off into my engine block making a 15 minute job a 5 hour job and about 3 trips to depot... spend the extra money and get quality taps don't make the same mistake as me! It's cheap for a reason.
