Bought for protecting husband from using garbage disposal. Hated to have to pay 1/2 the cost in S&H but worth it.

Looks great on the wall plate. My husband has vascular dementia and I needed a way to keep him from turning on the garbage disposal. For a while I had it taped down. I thought about cutting the power, but still need to use the disposal now and then. I also used these for two other switches I don't want used. My husband has not commented nor asked about them. I kept the sides intact and use a pencil (eraser end) to turn the disposer on and off, when he's not in the kitchen. I had looked around for these locally but couldn't find them. I didn't like having to pay 1/2 the cost of them in shipping and handling but finally gave in and spent the money. I figure I save S&H on other items, why not!?

Perfect solution for "locking" a switch into position in order to discourage having it accidentally flipped. I have several banks of outlets run by a couple of two way switches that I don't want anyone to flip unless they absolutely need to. I installed each of these switches with the tab furthest away from human sight removed, and did the same with an automatic dehumidifying exhaust fan in the bathroom. Instantly resolved the problem of everyone flipping that switch and disabling the dehumidifying cycle. While they certainly aren't invisible, the look better than anything else I've seen and their design allows for multiple switching options. They feel quite sturdy as well.
