Perfect, Rain tight, used to turn on diesel engine heater!

i am non my third unit as the mechanical clock's gears fail after 3 years
seems you have to buy the whole thing than just get the gears

I have been unable to get the clock to work since day one. It has been installed since last summer and every day I go out and turn it on and later turn it off. Kind of defeats the purpose of an automatic timer. The support at Jasco (who makes it), were useless. He told me it would only work if my wiring included a power lead, a neutral and a ground. Mine includes 2 power leads and a ground, which worked on the old one just fine. When I informed him of that, and that the power to the pump is working but not the clock he said "well parts of it will work".

I can admit when I make a mistake. I edited my review because I finally discovered this timer switch is for 110 circuits only and mine is 220. Since I'm not an electrician I didn't realize my wiring should have made that obvious. However Jasco support COULD have made me aware of that when I explained my situation, but he was probably just a script reader like most phone support contacts, and knew less about electrical than I did. Also the instructions should make that VERY clear before you begin installation. So I have NO idea if this item works because I am a dope and bought the wrong item for my needs. Buyer beware...if you have 2 hot wires from the line in chances are you have a 220 circuit and this item will not work for you. When in doubt call an electrician.

This is very easy to install and very easy to operate and it works! I use it for a large fountain in the front of my house and it's so nice not to have to go turn it on and off everyday, thanks to this timer. The directions are very simple and good to follow. Seems like someone got smart and took the complications out of something that should be very easy to work with and this timer actually is! Thank you for your product, Linda

I wired this into two extension cords to run my pool pump. It is heavy duty and works well. I had previously used a "heavy duty" timer of a different brand and it burned up after one season. This is why I decided to go to a real heavy duty timer, which is much more substantial than the others. The price is great too. Don't waste your money on a cheap plastic model if you want your timer to last for a pool pump.
