After I used this to ceiling mount my old projector (with a 9' throw) I decided that I needed a bigger screen! For me, this meant moving the mount back at least 4 feet from it's original install location. - I'm using a late 2000's projector, weighs about 18lbs. As long as you're mindful of all the connection points and adjustment points to get the perfect alignment, you'll not have any shaking or vibrating. - When I switch my old projector to TURBO mode, the fans kick in and it sounds like a small jet engine... I'd expect SOME kind of small vibration with the over-sized image, but it's rock solid. Be thorough during install, don't over-tighten any of the screws, test your fit before tightening everything AND MAKE SURE TO GO BACK AND TIGHTEN THEM, and you'll be as good as gold. I'd buy this again.

I chose this projector mount for my Optoma HD142X because I needed it to hang lower than the ceiling fan in our theater room. The height of this one was perfect. I was skeptical at first because of the price and some of the reviews, but I am really happy with my decision. I was able to hide the HDMI and power cables that were coming down from the attic by running them through the mount. It's been several months since I installed it and it looks like it hasn't moved a millimeter. The picture is still perfectly centered on my screen. If you're looking for a sturdy mount and not wanting to remove it routinely, then I would definitely recommend this one.

I don't usually write reviews, but I did want to comment on this mount. There are some negative reviews, but I would say for the price this is a great deal. One reviewer said he had a hard time getting this to fit his benq w1070. I have a benq w1070, and while it was a challenge, it did fit well once I figured it out. It seems pretty sturdy once together and though it takes some work to adjust it, it does adjust enough to where you should be able to get it lined up with your screen. Overall it's built well and it gets the job done. I'm confident that if you want a cheap solution, this is a great mount that will get the job done.
