I put these up one year ago and was concerned about how they'd do in strong morning sun. They haven't faded a bit! They get strong sun and although they are not room darkening they keep sun out and keep the area cool. Close inspection reveals that they're not silk, but from a couple of feet away my untrained eye would see silk. They are extremely lightweight which is great for tall applications where you don't want a ton of wet on the hardware. They did need some aggressive steaming when installed a year ago, but just once. I ordered three colors before choosing and each color was the same as the ad and all other specifications were as advertised.

These curtains shape up nicely after you iron out the wrinkles. I added them to my guest room and it warmed the room up nicely. The only issue is that I need a length between 85 and 95", lol. I ordered 95" to finish covering the window thinking they would be perfect, but they ended up being too long. So I am going to hem them so that they lightly graze the floor. I'l be ordering more for the other window to finish off the room. I didn't rate sheerness, because they are not sheers... they offer privacy since they have a back panel on them. Anyway, I like them...they serve the purpose.
