At first, I was a bit taken back by how long these were. However, aftger having installed them, they are absolutely great. Be sure to line-up the edges of the plate with existing strike plates. However, having the extra length enables one to place them on the frame easily and with a great deal of variability vertically. I will buy more for the house. In fact, I plan to replace all my strike plates with these.
These are strong, solid strike plates usefull for both deadbolts and standard lockset installs.

Item arrived promptly and has been installed. I'm happy to once again be able to lock my door. I've ordered these twice, as a second door stopped latching, but I knew what to do! I'm impressed with the fast service, the quality of the item, and the fact I can get an item that was not available locally. Our house shifts with the weather, making doors impossible to latch. This solves the problem. It may take some mortising (you will need some chisel skills for that), so be prepared to spend some time. Years ago, I had to hire a locksmith who had to fabricate a new strike plate from flat stock. Expensive! But you must lock the front door, no matter what! This solves the problem much better.

Nice and heavy brass. It will solve my problem of seasonal up and down shift of entry door. Includes screws long enough for jam only (will not reach stud).
