Works great. Cloud goes by and it shuts off, but I can use the battery option if I wanted to keep it on. I don't need to worry about long wires running through my grass to the fountain because it runs on solar. Nor do I have to run it on a timer because it shuts off at dusk. Has great tip options for different spray effects.
It would be nice if the unit could run during the day off ...

The pump only runs on batteries, when I received the unit the batteries would not even hold a charge. It would be nice if the unit could run during the day off the solar panel. I have never seen the led lights turn on. I did contact the supplier and have not received a reply as to the issues.

I was pleasantly surprised with this solar pump. It is in a 3' tall trickle down fountain and is powerful enough to produce an excellent flow. It does need direct sunlight and doesn't have a battery backup, so it stops when the clouds come out or when the sun dips behind a tree or building. Also, it is rather large, so it could be a tight fit in a smaller fountain. Otherwise, it is a perfect pump to run a small fountain during daytime hours.
