Used in 2016 JK with steering wheel controls.

I will preface this review with stating that this is the only aftermarket integration device I've used so I don't know how good/bad the competition is, all I know is this thing works great!
Used this to pair with an AVH2330-NEX as the foundation for my 2016 JK audio upgrade. The whole iDatalink thing is leaps and bounds above what we had not even 10 years ago when doing a factory headunit swap. After programming via the website and installing, all my steering wheel audio buttons work great. Also, after tying into the CANbus, the added feature of OBDII sensor data displayed right on my screen is just some real fancy stuff.
Some friendly advice: COMPLETELY DISABLE UCONNECT and run the aftermarket mic. I didn't realize how awful UConnect was until I ditched it completely.

Was pretty easy to install but very unhappy and cannot figure out why when I get phone calls through that you connect system it cuts off all of my speakers when I hang up the phone I pulled the unit out an updated it and it's still messed up it's only when I get phone calls I could hear the people on the other end Through all the speakers but when I am the call I only have one speaker working do you only way to repair that is I have to shut the car off for 10 minutes and then try again sometimes it doesn't work please someone help me hopefully the seller will get back
The only way to connect a new stereo to a modern car!

Doesn't work perfectly with my car, but it does more than it said it would. I not only retained normal operation (door delay, factory amp use and control, steering wheel controls, etc.) but it does display the radio station and some info on the in-dash display which it said it wouldn't. Plus you can program it so that steering wheel buttons do more than one function (e.g. hold vol - and it mutes the radio). The ability to plug it into the ODB port and get performance and engine info was icing on the cake.
The only downside is programming it. The web app has to use DirectX, I honestly wasn't even sure if I still had a web browser that would let me use DirectX with Edge being the default on Windows 10 machines. Luckily IE is still lurking in the background. Once I got that sorted the programming was simple and straight forward.
If you are going to get a high-end radio for your modern ODB II car, do not get one without the iDatalink port and definitely use one of these!

Works Great and Makes Your Aftermarket Stereo Feel Factory.

I purchased this to use my new JVC KW-730BT stereo with my 2011 Dodge Challenger. With newer vehicles having factory units that make it more and more difficult to completely replace this little black box helps bridge the gap between factory features and aftermarket stereos. The Maestro paired with a iDatalink vehicle harness(Sold Separately) you can keep most if not all of the original functionality you car comes equipped with these days. One of the greatest features comes from the programming side in which you can go through and change the functions of your steering wheel controls if you have any and even make them dual purpose. When programming the Maestro do know that is setup using the iDatalink website and requires a browser plugin to be installed. This can be somewhat of a hassle at first but as long as you follow the instructions you will be fine.
One last thing to mention if you are considering this. Be sure to go to iDatalink's site and check compatibility with your car and stereo. When using their compatibility tool it will tell you exactly what features can be retained and what additional harnesses or adapters may be required.

nice item to have for car does give some different options to view and made it look pretty cool ,some of the items are a bit small to view but they all worked ,the tire pressure ,open doors ,engine light with code was the biggest reason I got it , I find myself not looking at it to much while driving so I dont take my eyes off the road ,it would be a whole lot cooler if it was a heads up display on your windshield ,it did all work when installed so far I have no complaints
