sorta kinda worked, but not well enough to pump 7 gal of water to my RV

tried to use this with a 9V drill to transfer water from a 7gallon water jug to my travel trailer fresh water tank while dry camping. I hooked up the drill, and started running the pump (yes, I had the right flow orientation per the arrows on the pump) and could never get the pump to prime. I took off the discharge hose to try it again, and this time the pump primed and started ejected a small stream of water from the pump, so I stopped and reattached the discharge hose (about 8 ft. long) connected to my fresh water tank inlet on the RV and tried pumping out the water again, and guess what, no flow. It appears the pump doesn't have enough discharge pressure to pump through an 8 ft. garden hose into my trailer fresh water fill connection. I ended up using a hand pump, which took a long time and a lot of energy.
