I wanted to get these scalpels after watching Dr. Pimple Popper on Youtube. The #11 blades are what she uses and I wanted to get rid of some blackheads, do some crafting, and keep some scalpels for a first aid kit. I chose this set of 10 scalpels because they are light weight, sterilized by Gamma radiation, and individually packaged. I like these because there are many different uses for these scalpels and are great to have around the home.

So these aren't the greatest blades I've ever used but they are really nicely packaged in vacuum sealed foil and they have a removable/re-usable plastic cover over the blade if your one of those people that might want to use the blade over and over for non-sterile procedures. They are quite sharp and accomplish what I need them to do. The price is right, shipping was fast and I will be ordering them again because they fit precisely into our needs.
Not just for surgery

I needed to cutout a bunch of paper and cardboard templates by hand and scissors and box cutters just didn't have the accuracy that I needed.
They're inexpensive, sturdy and sharp.
They made cutting out my templates quick and easy.
The shape of the tip of the blade was great for getting into the tight areas I needed to cut
If you have a hobby or craft project and need an inexpensive tool for cutting, these work really great.

Very Happy - Hard to Mess up

To start off with, I'm not a doctor or otherwise a medical professional. So my knowledge of scalpel quality is somewhat limited. To my way of thinking, if it fits some basic requirements, it's pretty much five stars.
1) Does the packaging convince me these are indeed sterile? Yes, it does. Theses scalpels arrived without damage and each one is vacuum sealed in foil. Furthermore, they each note sterilization with gamma radiation.
2) Did I get what I ordered? Yes, the product page indicated a 10-pack, and that's just what I got
3) Are they sharp? Yes, very. My only reference for comparison is an x-acto knife. These are about the same.
4) Do they feel fragile? Do I get the impression they'll hold up to normal use? For the most part. The handles are relatively thin plastic. Picture a heavy-duty plastic disposable knife and that's about what the handle is like. Should work just fine. If you're planning on some heavy-handed cutting, these might not be for you.
Overall very happy, and would buy more if I ever need to.

Cheap, good, sharp, triangular point is useful
Tropylium✓ Verified Purchase•June 11, 2023
These are the cheapest real scalpels I could find with a sharp triangular point. They are good.
Quite frankly, these are not as sharp as some more expensive scalpels.
These are good for opening packages in situations where you can't use scissors. Scissors will be better if you need to cut through really tough plastic. These scalpels are good for thin plastic, cardboard, paper, and tape packages.
The triangular point is useful in many ways. This is the scalpel that inspired the hobbyist knife.
