Bought these for dissection. They dull very quickly. We thought it may be worth the extra few cents to buy whole disposable scalpels rather than just the removable blades and a handle, but we were wrong.
The handle of these scalpels is plastic and not terribly sturdy. I would recommend reusable handle and disposable blades.

We bought these for kids to use for dissection at a summer camp. They are sharp, have a nice blade shape for dissection and were a good value. Even though they are disposable, if you are using them for dissection you can get many uses out of them. Good value for schools and summer camps.

Very well made and packaged. They are as sharp as you would expect a scalpel to be. I have used them to remove tissue from an ulcer on my wife's foot. Some of that tissue can be quite tough and calloused. These did a great job of keeping her foot from having to be amputated.
