For the price, these are good boots. I had a few loose stiches on the upper of one boot, which I trimmed off. They look fine now - didn't appear to affect the integrity of the boot. They are quite comfortable and I believe they fit true to size. I bought another pair of Old West boots because of the value and fit of these. I love both pair.

Both the quality and sizing are perfect, you may not want to go too wide but go about half size down. overall great pair of boots especially for work. The color is darker than what the photos show because of stage lighting and I enjoy that. Definately going to be a repeat customer for this business. Its ok for heel slippage its normal allow your foot to grow into it before reviewing.

This is my 2nd pair from Old West. For me, they fit like boots are supposed to, somewhat snug at first. I wear them for about four days to get the normal wear creases set up. Then I get them a bit wet- not soaked, but as if you've been out in a pretty good rain for a while. Wear them wet for several hours and the leather will stretch out around your foot. Let them dry overnight and the leather will shrink back a bit. They'll be a little snug again, but the leather will be exactly shaped to your instep and arch. A few more days and they'll be the most comfortable things you ever put on your feet.

I think these are a great value. Make that a great, great value. I just bought these and after the customary five day break in and a lot of neatsfoot they are wonderfully comfortable and a very smart looking boot. I also bought some Dan Posts at more than twice the price. Sure can tell the difference--but not by appearance and as I say at twice the price. Can't stand up to a handmade but a quality boot at a more than fair price. If i hadn't bought the Posts they might have gotten another star.

I wear montanas, Dan post, Lucchese because I look for quality over price in my boot selection. Due to financial constraints this year, I had to replace my blk montanas on the cheap. I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND OLD WEST! Size was a great fit. Very impressed with the quality of construction. Not flashy but look sharp. This will replace my old montanas as my everyday black boot.
