Be careful when connecting the valve wires. Pins are flimsy.

I installed the system and one of the valves did not work. The valve wire connector has very flimsy pins and I found that one of the two pins did not connect. I had to bend the pin straight and carefully plug it in. After that the system worked perfectly. Dropping water on the sensor closed the valves.

Works great! I have a two story house and I needed to replace my non-working washing machine. I installed this product for additional insurance. Not long after my new front loading Samsung washer was installed, this device gave off an audible beep. When I checked the washing machine, it was giving me an error code. I notice the Floodstop had shut off the water. I checked around the washer and notice water had seeped from the hose connections and onto the floor because the washer was shacking so much during the spin cycle. A few drops had landed on the floor sensor, which shut off the water to the washing machine causing the washer to error out. This device works as advertised. I highly recommend it!
Easy to install

Easy to install, and worked each time I tested it by putting a little water on the sensor. Brings peace of mind by protecting against a rare but costly event. If this has a 99% chance of working in the event of a catastrophic failure, then it reduces the risk of such a failure by two orders of magnitude.
One tip: MEASURE the distance from the nearest power outlet before ordering. The power cable that comes with it is about 10 feet long. It turned out I needed to order two of the power supply extension cables that are sold by the same vendor for such cases in order to reach all the way from the closest 120-volt outlet.

Installed in our laundry room after the washing machine overflowed twice causing a lot of damage. Added a pan underneath to catch the small amount of water that would still overflow while the valves are closing. Test the system every couple of weeks to have peace of mind that I don't have to go through another flood on our new flooring.
Takes just about 20 minutes to install.

Quick install Read all of the instructions. Sensor works quickly with just a drop of water. The sensor is wrapped with paper cover, it is flimsy so water can penetrate and be wicked up to sensor. If you should lose it wrap the sensor with a paper towel. Battery back up works. Keep a reminder to replace the 4 AA Batteries at least once a year, better yet, unplug the unit and press the on an off valve buttons to make sure the valves work. The fill sensor on our washer failed and flooded 3 rooms in 20. min causing close to $10K in damages. This is a solid unit.
