Broken handles are a major issue

We serve Moscow Mules at our Brewery and wanted to move away from the copper mug for potential safety reasons. We ordered a set of 4 of these hammered mugs. One of the original 4 walked out the front door in the first couple of days, so we started a deposit policy, which has stopped the problem.
After 5 weeks in service, 2 of the remaining 3 have broken handles and are unusable. Fortunately we trialed another brand and have zero issue with those. Since we missed the return time of 30 days, I thought I would share our experience. These are simply more expensive and less reliable than other "similar" products.

I haven't had them for long, so I cannot say how they wear. Aside from that, I served Moscow mules for Christmas and the mugs were the star of the show. The drinks stayed cold and did not have a metal taste. I thought it was an expensive treat, but I was told the price I paid was good for this particular cup.

Love these mugs, not gonna comment on the shape since you can look at the pics. Handle seems to be pretty solidly attached to the cup. There are some small grind marks at various areas and joints but I like that look, makes it look "working class." The cup does sweat with cold beverages so use a coaster if that bothers you. Had these for a few months and haven't had to polish them or anything yet and they still look new, I did buy copper polish but turns out I haven't had to use it on these cups yet. I wash them by hand and quickly wipe them with a dish cloth to dry. Also, they hold a wide variety of liquids other than Moscow Mules as well, I've used them to hold water, soda, ice tea and Kool-Aid. Have not had a cold drink yet that this cup would not hold but will report back when I do.

These are great mugs. They are beautiful, keep drinks very cold and are a great conversation starter. They can be used for any type of drink. We have guests who now ask to use these mugs whenever they are at our house.

These are exactly as pictured and advertised...it's a basic copper mug, exactly what I wanted. The mug is just the right size (the recommended size for a Moscow Mule is 16 ounces), the right weight, and is well constructed. As with any type of true metal [silver, copper, etc..] it will need to be polished occassionally most likely, so for anyone who purchases this and then complains about it tarnishing, then they should purchase a mug that is specifically lacquered and made of imitation material, as they won't be happy with the real deal. And as for the purchaser who was wondering about "having to scrape off the lacquer," this mug does not have laquer on it, or at least the ones I received did not, otherwise if there is lacquer, it's unnoticable, and I wouldnt see why anyone would even want or bother to scrape it off.
