Bought two on our trip to the coastal waters of South Carolina. Simple design and traveled well. Added a bouey and some rope, like most other pods out there. There was a slight gap on one set, but it closes when you pull up the trap. I used a can of chicken in one and a can of cat food in the other. Poked a dozen holes in each worth a nail and through it in there. Caught 1/2 doz of eatable shrimp, an American eel and several bait fish in our first haul. Great trap for something fun to do on vacation near the coast.

Would be perfect IF it lined up when its closed. I am returning it and will change my review depending on what they send back. If it closes good and alines then it should be good. I have 1/2 gap on the sides that everything would swim out. Not way to just "bend" it either or I would have. We will see. My hope is that this one was just defective.

Update: Received a second one with the same issue. I returned this one for a refund. I have a lot of traps and this design is very flawed. See pictures!!!!
