Works fine. I did add a rubber band on the pliers to make it close on its own. Just makes it a little easier to use and I can hang it on my pegboard with the clamps.

I take one star away because of cost (if it's more than a dollar to manufacture, I would be surprised), but I can't fault its design or usefulness. These clamps are just the right tool for holding mitred corners together. They exert a surprising amount of force and you can use multiple clips if needed. The marks left behind are minimal.

I'm really glad I got these. I was doubtful at first but they really do a great job at holding trim in place while fitting the pieces up. Yes, they do pierce the wood. In most most cases, the marks are acceptable and not very visible. The tool itself is just punched aluminum and not very impressive but it does the job.

So far I have used these clamps for gluing up miters in new door casings and picture frames and they work great! Not much of a mark left behind for filling. Easy to use and works like a charm! Definitely recommend them for any miter glue ups.

I use these to keep my outside miters together on casing and crown while I nail them and the glue sets up. Pulls them together fairly well, leaving only a small mark (less than a brad nail) on the material. I would recommend several sets of the clamps if doing any sort of volume case work. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because I don't particularly like the feel/ergonomics of the pliers. They seem cheap in relation to the sturdiness of the clamps and overall the package seems a little overpriced when viewed in this light.
