This salt is best for seniors. It comes out in a fine cloud. It covers more area and you use less. I put mine in antique salt shakers that have smaller holes. Yes all the salt was finer in the 40's and 50's. I am so glad I found this large box. It is getting hard to find the smaller containers.

I bought this salt for a variety of uses, and while I have been generally happy enough, I was hoping for something even finer still. Although it is much more powdery than ordinary table salt, it still has a discernable grain. I used it on some unsalted walnuts recently and it did not stick as well as I had hoped it would.
I will likely try out other popcorn salts when this runs out, but will not be disappointed if I end up returning to the Morton Popcorn Salt.
