Worked great with my cordless drill as power.
David H. Mead•August 14, 2017
I bought this to empty my old water softener salt brine tank and it worked great. Our floor drain is on the other side of the basement and the existing plumbing is a 40 foot length of tubing that goes up 9 feet. I used my cordless 18V drill for power and this unit pumped the water up 9 feet and over to the drain with no problem. I can see this is a great item to have around if I ever need to empty a busted washing machine or any other emergency.
Good Value

works as advertised. I'm only using it to transfer 60 gallons of water at a time from my AQUATANK2 Water Storage Bladder (60 Gallon) to my RV. The little pump gets the job done. I read some reviews that recommended having a spare. Seems like a good idea when you're dry camping far from home or an Amazon delivery. So far I'm happy with the purchase. Good value, very portable, all you need is a fairly powerful electric drill. I'm using an 18V Ryobi cordless. The shorter the hose from water source to what you want to fill the better. I've found it much better (obviously to some I'm sure) to have the hose as "down hill" as possible.
Solid, works well pushed water up and over a 7' fence.

Worked well. Used it to empty out a spa out to the street. It was able to pump the water from the drain port at the base of the spa up and over a 7-foot fence and then out to the street.
Tips: For ease of use you'll probably want to mount it (and the drill!) onto a piece of wood. I also attached some quick-connect hose fittings for convenience. My drill was a 2-speed battery drill, make sure to put the drill on max speed setting to get maximum flow rate, wasn't getting good output at first until I realized drill was in slower speed...
I also used it at the drain-end of the hose to get suction going to create a siphon and have the hot tub drain itself with gravity (second time I emptied the spa). Feels solid and of good quality, paid for itself the first time I used it.

Use this to pump winterize through my camper. Very easy to set up for this use with a few special hoses. It is a bit stiff, be sure to lube it before you use it and it will be find.
Worked to get water from sump pit
S. Brown•December 26, 2016
I have only used this one time but this is based on my single need so far. I knew I had to test my sump pump and I had a problem with my furnace so I used the sump pit which is usually dry. My sump pump suffers from not being used. After putting the water from the boiler in the pit I confirmed that my sump pump is shot. I now had to get the water out of the sump pit. I found this pump and it worked well for what I needed. I did prime the pump. I also played with it by putting the water back in the pit a second time and play with the new toy.
