I'm surprised I have had such a poor experience with these based on existing reviews, but they don't block sound half as well as a previous pair, and they started coming apart after a couple of uses. To adjust them between adult and child sizing is a pain, and it simply should not need to be. I have repurposed these to use when I practice piano for hours. It helps me play using more force, and thus building up my finger strength. This helps when you have to play a piano with wicked hard action, as some do. So - not a total loss. But not useful for its original intent - to block out power tool noise.

They seem to be well made. Our son LOVES wearing them. He got them for his 2nd birthday so he could be around daddy when mowing. The thing is, they don't fit the best on his 2 year old head. To have the band fit snug on his head leaves a gap below and behind each ear (about 3-6 / 6-9 o'clock as you look at each ear from the side). To have the muffs actually cover his ears we need to extend the wires so that the headband "floats" about his head 1-2 inches. His ears are covered, but then the muffs are moving around and in need of constant adjustment. It seems the main culprit of this problem is the padding on the headband. When shortened to rest on his head, the padding pushes on the top of the muff, angling out the bottom. I'm sure they'll work much better next summer when his head is a bit bigger.

These help muffle loud sounds, and can help cancel out lower, bothersome, sounds.

They fit comfortably, however, I do wish that they muffled sound just a bit more. I can hear almost everything with them on, it's just slightly muffled; if someone is talking to me, I can hear and understand everything they say.

With that said, they do help when the landscapers are working and when I have to go out into a noisy environment. I actually slept through an alarm with these on.

Overall, these are great for babies, kids, and adults with hearing sensitivity. However, if you are extremely sensitive to noise, you might need to consider ones that muffle/cancel noise at a better decibel.

I ordered these for my 11 year old son who has a hard time focusing on homework, etc. He used an older pair that was not really comfortable, and although he hasn't had a lot of chances to use these. Initially, they feel very comfortable and he seems to like them. I like that they fold into a smaller shape, taking up less room to store than our older and bulkier model. I thought they were a very reasonable price and shipped very quickly. I, then, ordered 4 more pairs for my classroom at school. Several of my 4th graders like to use them to get quiet and focus. I wish I could afford a pair for every student.

After reading many articles about hearing loss and damage from the show I began to read reviews online about earmuffs. Many website recommended this specific model. I can understand why.

The earmuffs come in a small box which is easy to pack when you are on the go. They are compact and very light. The material on the ear pieces is soft and well built to muffle the sound. The headpiece can be elongated in order to fit an older child. I would say they will fit my kid until he is around 3-4.

I do recommend you buy these a while prior to the event you are going to use them for. My Little One took time exploring them and what they do prior to committing to wearing them for longer periods of time.
