I'm a 21 year old woman with sensory processing issues which causes pain and discomfort when I hear certain noises.

These help muffle loud sounds, and can help cancel out lower, bothersome, sounds.

They fit comfortably, however, I do wish that they muffled sound just a bit more. I can hear almost everything with them on, it's just slightly muffled; if someone is talking to me, I can hear and understand everything they say.

With that said, they do help when the landscapers are working and when I have to go out into a noisy environment. I actually slept through an alarm with these on.

Overall, these are great for babies, kids, and adults with hearing sensitivity. However, if you are extremely sensitive to noise, you might need to consider ones that muffle/cancel noise at a better decibel.

This is my second purchase. I got the 2nd one for my brother's 1yo son. I bought my first over a year ago for my two kids who were 6 and 9 at the time. They share a room and bed times can be a pain. One is ready to sleep and the other one is making some kind of noise or chatty. Using this helped give us more peaceful nights. As a mother of 4 kids I need it. Surprisingly, there was an added benefit for me. I use it myself too. I'm usually the last to fall asleep but there are times my husband wants to keep watching TV and the noise just disturbs my sleep. I pop these right on and I am a happy camper. They are very comfortable and durable. While they don't totally block out sound, a good amount is reduced. I just wish they had these when I had my first kid. My oldest is 18 now but he was the most sensitive when it comes to sounds. When he was little he used to cover his ears when you flush the toilet. He could not tolerate being in public places or parties. He would be upset when the buzzer would go off at basketball games. He was easily awoken by noises. This is a must for parents who have kids with sensory issues.
By the way, I was a pediatric occupational therapist up until I had my fourth child when I decided to put my career aside. I had almost 20 years experience in the field but I'll spare you all with a technical review and just say that for any mother this item will save you lots of grief. It seems to be well made as I have no problems with it whatsoever despite all the use we have gotten from it.

I ordered these earmuffs for my 7 year old daughter because she was having difficulties focusing and staying on task in class, due to the noise of 25+ kids all talking at once. When things would get particularly noisy, she would get really bad headaches and need to go sit in the hall or, if they got too bad, lie down in the nurse's office. So, after talking to her teacher about possible solutions, we decided to try these earmuffs, to see if they would help. It has been two weeks now, and we have seen a major improvement. She is still able to hear the teacher and individual voices, but now they don't all blend together and distract her or cause headaches. She has been able to focus on her classwork and get things done in a timely manner. These earmuffs fit her perfectly and are comfortable enough that she can wear them for a while without any problems. I am so happy that I found these!

My daughter loves them! She has sensory issues and noises of certain types and sounds bother her. She can put them on at will and remove them when she feels safe again. Soft comfortable and perfect decibel level. Soft enough to mute loud and rumbling sounds such as a crowded lunchroom or a movie who's surround sound level varies in a theater. But still able to hear her teachers instructions and someone calling out for her. It drowns out loud background noises. If you are looking for no noise or hearing protection you will need to find a stronger pair. These are not for hearing protection but for softening background and loud sounds. Comfortable enough for me to put on, still snug enough for my 7yr old. Love the color options too!

We recently bought these to take our toddler to a Monster Jam thing for his 2nd birthday. I'd never been to one and had no idea just HOW loud they were so I'm so glad we bought him these! They fit him perfectly and he left them on for the entire show. I thought they might be too tight for him since they seemed not to give too much but he didn't seem to mind. I'm pleased with this purchase!
