Especially great for the beginner

These are wonderful, especially indoors. They don't have the speed to compete with the breeze of the outdoors and the sunlight can jam the signal, causing erratic behavior. But indoors it rocks! It's absolutely controllable and stable indoors. It's also sturdy enough to survive multiple collisions.
This will be my 4th S107 (they don't make good chew toys for boxers). My daughter and I have a blast with ours.
They excel for beginners as they are forgiving and easily mastered, but they're great for those who aren't new to RC helicopters as well. Just not ideal for outdoors except for still nights.

it's hard to control. it hasn't held my husband's interest. Be sure you have a nice large unobstructed space with no air current interference and preferably a carpet...since you'll see it crashes a lot especially as you are learning. I tried it and I find it unwieldy but I'm going to try again outside since I wasn't properly set up indoors before. I was also annoyed, it was actually priced as low as $9.99 but price had gone up to $16. that's fine but it's really not a very high quality product. Flip side my nephew loves his. My brother bought one and recommended this product. And, so there are happy customers out there I know...
Also very pleased with how resilient they are

Got two of these for my almost eight year old for Christmas and everyone in the family loves them, including my husband and I! It does take some practice to learn how to fly them. Practice learning how to go up and down and hovering before you try to move left, right, forward or backward.
Also very pleased with how resilient they are! Each of us crashed them on our first attempts to fly them, including a couple of crashes on our high ceilings and all the back down to the ground, and they still run great!
They run for about 20 minutes of flight time and take about 40 minutes to charge. Based on reviews I read if other flying toys or drones that is a pretty good ratio.
You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend these helicopters!!

Fly's like a charm and easy to use

This is my second one, I use it indoors all the time, the gyro and 3 channel and dual blades keep it very steady, Fly's like a charm and easy to use, I would start it on table just enough to see it move then i would adjust the middle knob and radio to stop it fron turning to far left or right, did that to zero it in to go straight, Have a lot of phone with it, MY dog thinks otherwise when hovering around her, it is why i am on 2nd one, she caught the 1st one, to her its a dog toy.. But for in house or office it is fun, Play with this till you get the feel of it and really great at it before going to 4 or 6 channel choppers or even drones , 4 channel and above take a lot of practice and needs skill, 2 channel well they just go forward (fixed pitch) all the time no control except turning not so much fun
Great toy. Sturdy. Fun. Reliable. Fixable. Shareable. Teachable.

Fun toy. I bought one for my Dad two years ago, and then my wife got one for me a few months later. I had to replace the battery after a year of heavy use. It was not hard or expensive, but you need a soldering iron. I was sad while it was out of commission :'(
The helicopter is ultra-resilient. Sometimes I get carried away trying to pull stunts, and my wife warns me that I am going to break it. Not yet, baby! It's been almost three years now. It's hard to find things that are manufactured NOT to break.
My cat tolerates it. My Dad's border collie was not a big fan. He usually went into the other room when my Dad was playing with it.
There is no hope of flying this outside. I even wait until my A/C turns off to play with it.
The only downside is the charger. I don't know much about how batteries charge, but I feel that this charger may not turn off once the helicopter is charged. I attributed that to the death of the battery after the first year, since I used it almost fully and charged it fully at each use. I had a good set of habits for flying, charging, and then pulling it off the charger, but I started to get lazy. I left it on the charger for extended periods of time.
