Very impressed with this Amerex and pleased with my purchase

Quality, well made extinguisher. Filled it up with 2.5 gallons of tap water, per the instructions, and proceeded to pressurize with a simple 12V tire pump. The instructions said to pressurize to 100 PSI, though I stopped around 80. It was still plenty to spray water in a 2" diameter cone up to 20-25' away for approximately 8-10 seconds. Very impressed with this Amerex and pleased with my purchase.

When we moved to the farm, the nearest fire station was miles away, a volunteer squad, so we knew that any response might take time, we invested in a bunch of dry chemical extinguishers but I always wanted more "fire insurance".
Here's "MORE", fill this up, pump it up (it really helps to have an air compressor handy), and let it go do its thing.
I tested this right after Amazon delivered it, we filled it with 2.5 gallons of water, put the right pressure in it, (watch that dial), and turned it loose on a pile of burning wood, we were all amazed at the power of the stream it put out, manageable for even our youngest member, easy to direct the flow, water flow strong enough to let you be well away from the fire. Make sure and review the right way to fight a fire.

Exactly what I was hoping for, This fire extinguisher sprays water over 50 feet and is great for any welder to have on there truck. Simply fill it with water to the bottom of the plastic sleeve and charge it with a tire chuck with compressed air to 100psi or center of the green on the gauge and your all set. You can even add cheap dish soap and make it spray foam to coat a fire. Ill bee adding one of these to all of my welding trucks.

glad I read reviews this one can be charged with tire pump. a bit tough to open and close nut because i have large hands but it works great use it as a safety for welding and it cools the metal well also, Added Still working great after quite a few refills , note when grand son sneeks up with a water gun this is way better , was he supprised it works great.
Great for home servicable and reusable fire extinguisher.

Great self refillable fire extinguisher. Just fill it up about 3/4 water and then use the built in shraeder valve to add compressed air up to about 100 PSI. I started a little fire in a safe area and let my wife and kids practice using a fire extinguisher (teaching them the PASS method) and it was easy to reload and recharge. Now it hangs in my garage in case a set something on fire when I'm welding or wood working.
