Exactly what I needed a K rated extinguisher and at the very reasonable price
Use this for a chimney fire. Replace every 6 years.

Use this for a chimney fire. ABC will cause corrosion in a metal chimney causing you problems. This is what all fire departments recommend you use.
Yes ABC will do the job but Purple K will save you money if you ever deploy it. If the chimney passes inspection after a fire because it's not warped then it did it's job. It's not going to rusy out the pipe or become this stuck on melted stuff like ABC.
Use the correct tool for the job. Read up on extinguishers before you buy one. The wrong one can cost you your life.

This is hard to rate as its something I hope to never have to use. I bought it as first line of defense in my garage if for some reason a fire were to start.
Really the only thing I can rate it on is astectics and build quality. It looks nice and appears to be well built.

Seems well-made. Based on my research this is the brand to get. Hopefully I'll never have to test that!

Very good quality extinguisher. Double wall base prevents bending, a nice move that Buckeye doesn't provide. The welds look like high quality. Great price too. The box could protect a bit better. Every box I've gotten from amerex has a wear through hole someplace.
