I've been really happy with this. It's nice to be able to just set my camera to use this and have it work each click, rather than set my camera to have a timed delay of 5s, take the picture and repeat. This saves me about 10-15 seconds each time I take a photo, which is really helpful when my pictures take 10-30 seconds each when I use this guy. I just wish my old Nikon D300 supported this guy, but that just gave me an excuse to keep my Nikon D5200 :)

Less than 6 months later it no longer works. I thought it was just the battery so I spent a few months forgetting to buy a battery. Just bought brand new batteries and it still does not work. Very disappointed in this purchase.

It works really well but does need an approximate "line of sight" to the camera.
The first one I got did not work very well at all. I contacted the seller and they replaced it immediately and the 2nd one works very well. We've used it up to 15' away - I imagine it will work farther. It's so much nicer than a timer!

Hallelujah! Makes self-portraits much easier than relying on the timer option! Nikon D3300 folks, you can press the little button to the left of the delete/trash button. See the timer/remote icon over the button? Once you're in that menu, press the "i" if you want info to help you select the best setting. I like the instant shutter release option.
