The Best Polisher but Maybe Not the Best Version...
Darrell✓ Verified Purchase•August 8, 2017
This dual action polisher is touted as the best one out there, with the robust craftsmanship and engineering one can only expect from the Italians. Much like any Italian supercar, this thing exudes effortlessness in any detailing application, whether waxes to serious compounding. Gone is the itch after polishing from all the vibration other inferior models had.
I've had Meguiars G110v2 in the past and this cuts the vibration in HALF. It's such a pleasure to work with I actually look forward to polishing vehicles now instead of dreading the after effects. As far as noise level, it's maybe a little quieter than the Meguiars. The trigger, and the cruise control feature, is unnecessary....it's a button that you press in to lock the speed setting, but I found that awkward (probably because I'm left handed and it was designed for righty's). I liked Meguiar's functionality where you just turned it on and it rotated without holding a trigger. It seems like a frivolous application to need a trigger in my opinion for a polisher. It should just be off or on.
As far as handling and ergonomics, this is far superior to the heavy and unwieldy Meguiars. The length and weight is perfect, feeling just heavy enough to be durable without fatiguing as well as being perfectly balanced. There is absolutely no need for a bail type handle so that was welcome to not have. You have much finer control without one.
I do have to make note that buyers should beware of what they are getting with this mammoth 21mm throw polisher. It is NOT for beginner detailers. This 21mm throw will have you all over the place until you get used to it. Its throw is so large that it takes a lot more effort to actually control it smoothly on the paint. Also, you WON'T be polishing any subtle curves or small sections with this. As soon as this thing touches any curves it stops spinning because the 6" pad is too large combined with the 21mm throw. It's its largest advantage but also its biggest disadvantage. It can cut through defects and go over panels FAST. Much faster than my Meguiars did with it's I think 8mm throw. I save a ton of time thanks to it.
With that said, I do still love this polisher and its class leading throw. However, if I had the chance again I would buy the 15mm version instead. I had 6" pads with the Meguiars and did fine on curves and small sections. I just think this polisher is designed for larger vehicles and projects and mainly for flat panels. You would have more versatility without needing a whole new backing plate/polisher with the 15mm version.

Saves a ton of time during detailing, cannot recommend enough! The price is a little steep, but I believe it's worth every penny. I used it for compounding, polishing, and applying sealant to my '96 850R.
