This kettle feels like it was pieced together from the metal of old ...

You might be checking out this kettle right now thinking - wow, it's so cheap! who needs an expensive kettle anyway? it's just a kettle, right? how different could it really be? If so, trust me, you are not alone. But I am here to tell you: it is not worth it. This kettle feels like it was pieced together from the metal of old soup cans. What's that you say? An ill fitting lid that only pops in place if you put your body weight into it? A spout controller that can only be opened by placing your fingers near the burning hot spout? This kettle makes my life decidedly worse. It is a downgrade from my old "kettle" which was just a sauce pan with no lid and I feel like Mr. Coffee owes me money for the storage space it takes up in my kitchen. And if you should ever come to my house: NO, there's not a NASA launch happening in my kitchen -- that's just ol' soup cans roaring to life on my stove.

This bottom of the tea kettle chipped and I did not realize I had been drinking metal that had been chipping from the bottom.
So disappointing

The handle melted within a week of using this kettle. It is also starting to rust after less than a month. So much for thinking I was actually purchasing a quality tea kettle.
Astounding

Smells of echinacea and chamomile wisp past my nostrils as I write this review. For the amount of money spent on this product, I'd say this is a golden nugget I've found across the vast virtual plains of Amazon. If you enjoy drinking tea or coffee, I highly recommend you purchase this product.
Poor quality, rusting after five months of use.

We have had this kettle for less than five months and it already starting to rust! The kettle is very light and poorly designed. Don't waste your money.
