These were ok for what we wanted them for (trick or treat). Most of them worked, but a few didn't. Fortunately we had more than we needed in the one pack that was ordered. The ones that did work lasted for several hours of non-stop vividly colored lights! The main problem was the very weak clip closure, some of which would not stay snapped. I could work with a few of them by crimping the wire that held to the snap, but some of the snaps didn't have any rim to catch the wire, they were just straight posts & those couldn't be mitigated in the time we had to work with.

These were a HUGE hit at the Magic Kingdom. It's a little tricky to get the barrettes just right in hair so they'll stay. Because of the battery compartment they are a little bulky. This is just the way it has to be for the fun of glowing optical color changing extensions. My girls had me brain their hair and weave the extensions through it. They are a little stiff but it still worked and looked very fun. We had several people ask where we bought them. Well worth the price.

The part that serves as the clip and battery area lights up more than the fiber optic part so it takes away from the fiber optic part a bit.They weren't very comfortable in my hair and kind of slipped a bit then ended up pulling my hair. They worked perfectly for the actual purpose I thought them for-my burning man tutu. They were super easy to just clip on and take off during the daytime. They were bright enough and I didn't have to spend time sewing fiber optics into my tutu.
