Does what it says...keeps any airflow and gases out while allowing water down. Used in a laundry room for a drain that rarely if ever gets water. Installation involved: putting it on the drain.

Somehow we forgot to add the p-trap to the shower line and found out quickly that we should have double-checked before laying an entire tile shower. This highly overpriced little guy saved the day. Though the flow rate may not be as high as an unobstructed pipe, it gets the job done.

Works very well. I have to dock a star because the product is grossly overpriced for what it is. Delivery was lightning fast but of course this is built into the price.
UPDATE: still working 2 years later. I do have to remove about every 3 months to clean soap scum and hair that causes the flapper to lodge slightly open releasing odor, but this isn't the product's fault. If it lasts another two years, it will get another star and be 100% worth the money.
