Coating On Upper Grill Melts Onto Grill (and your Food) Below!!!!!!

Poisonous Plastic crap (black coating on upper grill) melts down onto the grill (and your food below)!!!! I don't know what its coated with (teflon?) but the cheap little upper grill is coated with something that melts when the grill gets super hot. It smells like poison and is almost impossible to scrape off the main grill and IR radiator below. HOW CAN I BE THE ONLY PERSON TO MENTION THIS ON A REVIEW???? On the plus side this grill gets hot as blazes, which is the whole point of buying an IR grill, but what the hell??? Just use stainless steel for God's sake!

This grill works great! It fits plenty of food for us, usually just me and my little girl, but sometimes enough for a few friends as well. It does have more cooking area than I expected from it when I ordered it. The grate, however, is a bit difficult to clean sometimes. Food can get stuck in the little holes making it difficult to get it out of there and cleaned properly. Otherwise I have loved this grill and we use it quite a bit!

Got it mostly together and low and behold, not enough what they call screws (they're really bolts) and nuts. The grill itself (metal body) seems a bit thin and I cannot help but wonder how it will stand up, assuming of course I can find the right BOLTS and nuts to finish putting it together. CHAR-BROIL went cheap on this item. I'm disappointed in them.

Love the size of this grill, but I don't like the stainless steel grate. Everything sticks no matter how much you season it. Wish they would come out with a porcelain grill grate so that I could replace it. The electric model has it. Not sure why they don't have one for the gas model. Overall it's a quality product. Just needs some adjustments to the grate.

These are the best ever bbqs. Compact and sturdy, and they don't rust thru like others do. The grate requires some cleaning, but burn it off first then scrape it and it comes off fine. I have 6 of these , 2 for myself and 4 in rentals. They look small but I can put so much food on there and cook it so fast, I don't want to take up any more space than I have to on my deck. This fits the bill. love it.
