I'm 5' 11", 152 lbs, and the Small-XL size was fine. I also tried the XXL but it was way too big. I wish the satin lapels went a little higher, but it wasn't really an issue under my tux jacket even unbuttoned.
For me, this vest only works with a laydown collar, which hides the neck elastic. With a wing collar shirt, the neck elastic was visible, which looked goofy. Laydown collars are more traditional for black tie, so it didn't bother me to go that route.

Based on previous reviewer's comments, I ordered the XXL size. (I am 5'11", size 42R). When the neck and waist were adjusted to my width, it fits well and the length is perfect. This is one of the few places that offers a low-cut vest in black and I am very pleased with the product. It is shipped clipped to a piece of cardboard so it did not fold in transit. It also came with a pre-tied wool black bow tie which I will not use.

There is plenty of adjustable strap to fit to any body but the coverage of the vest is too small. I am 5'10" and weight 155 lb. I am a small dude by today's standards and feel the vest coverage vertically is poor.
