I've had this freezer for just over 24 hours. UPS delivered it rightside up and my driver, who I trust, said it was rightside up all day in the truck. Still, I left it about 18 hours before plugging it in at 6 per the manual. I put an ice cube tray in and in just less than 2 hours the tray was frozen. I only checked once so not sure how long it took.

I have this freezer sitting on hardwood floor under a table made from a door on sawhorses. Good airspace all around. There has been no discernible noise.

I bought this freezer to handle extra frozen fruit and veg from summer garden overflow and sale purchases, plus living in Northwest Montana and liking to keep extra stock of meat, etc. over winter - this was a great first step for me for additional freezer capacity (small house: 1 human, 1 dog, 1 cat). I have 2 Whynter A/C units that I've been very happy with so stuck to brand.

Packaging was very good with a box outside the Whynter box. Some gouging in outside box but inside box intact and unit was free of dings, etc., i.e. in perfect condition. I did destroy both boxes to get the freezer out but that was my choice and because I was working on my own. With 2 people you could extract the freezer and have the boxes for return if necessary.

So far, I am very happy.

Bought this for storing breast milk a few months ago and it is doing great. Fits under the lowest shelf in our pantry which was hard to find and I have been able to keep adding to my backstock of frozen milk without taking over our primary freezer. I used an external thermometer to make sure the temp was cold enough and it has consistently stayed below 0 degrees F since I bought it and turned it on.
