I bought two of these sweatsuits for my 80 year old mother in law. She is 5'10" and weighs about 140 pounds. I originally ordered the medium for her but she found the pants to be too short. I returned them and purchased the large and she absolutely loves them! They have become her go to outfit bc she can pull them on and off easily. she tends to stay on the cool side during the day, and finds that they are warm and cozy without making her too hot.

Bought a Large for my 87 year old mother, who normally wears a size large. This fit very odd on her. First of all, the color was a vibrant turquoise with beautiful navy embroidery detail. The fabric was very soft. But, it just did not fit her. The pants were about a foot too long, which would have been ok on my somewhat short 5'1" mother, but the inseam was so short she couldn't pull the waist up high enough to be comfortable on her. Plus, the waist was way too big. So even if we bought a medium, I'm afraid the inseam would have been even shorter. The top seemed promising until she put it on - the arms were way too long and the whole top just looked "blousy" on her. We were so disappointed in this set as it really did look beautiful. Unfortunately, I missed my window to return it, so, here it sits!

This is the fourth Pembrook sweat suit I have purchased for my elderly mother who is in an assisted living facility. They fit great, are warm and wash up easily. She loves the variety or colors and loves to be color coordinated.
Read the size chart and expect some inconsistency in sizing- otherwise nice quality

I ordered two of these suits, the purple and the deep blue, because I wanted to replace some old, heavier weight good quality sweat pants for lounging. I had lost weight and had no idea how anything fits, so was hoping to get the right size. Fortunately, I read the size chart that comes with this item very carefully and figured out that a 1x is comparable to their 3x. I ordered 3x for both suits and the purple pants fit perfectly, exactly how I would expect a 1x (18-20W) to fit. The deep blue pants were also labelled 3x but were a size too large and also 2" too long. I washed them, in hope that they would shrink- no they didn't shrink which is a testament to the good quality of these sweatsuits. This is good news, because the purple pants that fit perfectly probably won't shrink, either. So, given how hard it is to find good quality heavier weight sweatpants, I'm keeping them both. The tops had the same fitting, the purple was a bit snug, the blue a bit large, but I don't wear embroidered sweatshirts, so they were going to be donated anyway. For the price, these are a good value if you can get a set that fits you.
