Good Organization Aid Overall, but Caution on Quantity
Sean C.✓ Verified Purchase•June 30, 2017
I needed something to help get my garage in order and these really helped. I was able to screw them fairly easily into the 2x4 supports. They hold the tools (e.g. rakes, push broom, etc.) relatively well. I rated these a four out of five stars because the metal on two of the four clips was a little bent and you have to push rather hard to use these. If these hold up and become easier to use with a little time I will consider bumping it up to a 5-star rating.
NOTE: Beware of the quantity you select. The product is listed as a 4-pack, but the quantities you can select from are misleading. I selected 2, thinking I would get two 4-packs, but you only get one, which Amazon justified by saying it clarifies on the order page. So, according to their rationale you get two packs of 2 for a total of four, but it doesn't actually come in packs of two, it just arrives in a bag of four. This seems contradictory, but they would not budge on this, so I hope they change the product title. 4 for $7.99 is not as good of a deal as I thought I was getting, particularly since you have to provide your own screws. I knew about the screws when I purchased these, so I wasn't surprised about that, it's just another thing worth noting in regard to the value of the overall product.

Strong hold for wide variety of gear

Strong spring holds many different size handles in my garage. Used a 2"x4" to screw them onto, the board screwed into studs for strength. Was able to space them to suit my tool's size/shape. Great to sweep floor without moving lots of gear about. Will use in laundry room & broom closet also.
Had tried various other types of wall holders over the years - all broke in one place or another.
I rummaged through my jars of miscellaneous screws & found some to fit. Not matched, but does the job well enough.
Very satisfied.

They don't bend easy, the springs remain strong

These things are STRONG. It takes a bit of muscle to get your tools into them the first few times, but this also means that they are secure. We have these all around our barn and not one has failed yet. They don't bend easy, the springs remain strong, and they haven't rusted.
Almost, but not quite.

19 out of 20 ok. Quality control obviously missed # 20. Both mounting ears bent in instead of out. Completely useless.
9/30/16 update: Seller contacted me and sent me two replacement clips.

Simple, Safe, and Works Fine

Really couldn't get more simple. I re-did my garage and mounted some 1" x 6" cedar boards at about eye height. On these cedar board I mounted 20 of these spring clamps. I now hang everything from fiberglass rakes to 20 pound breaker/digging bars from them. Heavier items will sometimes slide until they get to a wider part such as the head of a shovel, while others will stay put wherever you clamp on the pole. With the ability to clamp wherever you want, you can adjust everything to offset the heads of the brooms, shovels, rakes, etc. See the attached photo for the work in progress.
For most items, you really just push the pole against the right side of the clip (says push) and it will pop in. This may take a little bit to get used to and a little bit of time for the spring in the clip to loosen up I think.
