I bought it to hold my Sven Saw 21" while packed in my camping pack. Works well for that purpose. well made and seems sturdy.

I work on the field crew of a survey/ civil engineering firm. We are on the ground before anyone else for land development and are usually hacking our way through thick thick thick brush. This sheath gave me 2 years before needing replacing, for reference, others have lasted less than a month.

solid construction, burly without being overly heavy. the only thing i don't like about it is the 3 super small pockets, i take the sharpening stone it comes with out right away and cut the pockets off, they are of no use.

This 1218S Marble sheath fits my OKC 22 inch D-ring machete like a glove. Funny thing is the orange trim also matches the orange D-ring handle. I have several OKC machetes and I think for the money they are great. It doesn't hurt that they been making them for the military for decades. This model said it fit a 18 inch blade but I thought I had seen a video that had one with only two pouches and an 18 inch blade in it so I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The sheath is much better than my Cold Steel and OKC sheaths. With a free stone and two extra pouches to load with survival stuff it makes a great grab and go unit. I don't know this for sure but I think the Marble machete might slide down further because it doesn't have the D-ring which would mean the handle would be inside the sheath and hard to grab. I am now going to order the scout version for my 18 inch OKC D-ring machete.and a couple more of these for some of my other blades (Cold Steel and OKC). Just for information stay away from Gerber and SOG machetes they are weak and with use half moon chunks come out of them. I like both Gerber and SOG products and have many other products by them but I can get a cheap piece of junk machete from China at a dollar store. I paid $12.50 with free shipping for each of the three Marble sheaths that I have ordered. These will let my good old leather sheaths last much much longer. One minor drawback on these is the belt loop not bad but I would like it a little tuffer with maybe a velcro and snap release for quick attachment. For this price I can't complain. Go Marble...
