One of my 3 cats is scratching at the bottom of this! There are little pieces of thread coming out. I was hoping based on a different review that this fabric would hold up to cat scratching but it is not. The fabric is tight, and the unit is of good quality for the price. But, I really was hoping my cats would leave it alone. Now I have it covered from top to bottom and corners with a blanket so "Binx" won't get to it. He also tore up the underside of my temperpedic bed mattress (can't see it). Had to give 4 stars for how it holds up to cats. This is used to help my elderly dogs get on/off the bed.

We had a simple bench at the end of our bed but it did not have storage and did not look as nice as we wanted. So after so many folks who already owned it answered my questions up here I decided to give this a try. Well it arrived today and we are so pleased! it is beautiful, very elegant looking, very nice to the touch and did not have anything to put together. Even the feet came already attached. Doesn't get any easier than that. The box it came in was sturdy, it was nicely covered with a cloth/paper cover that was held on with elastic and arrived in perfect condition. I wanted this to sit on to put my shoes on etc. but also to store sheets and or blankets that were currently taking up room in our hall closet that we use for medicines etc. As some folks said here on answering my questions there is room enough for sheets, pillow cases, blankets etc. So far we have put in 4 sets of sheets, 12 pillow cases and I will be adding more to this. The color is a deep rich brown/coffee color. At night it looks nice and holds our comforter which we fold down the bed and then lay on (the old and now this one) this bench. So this is perfect for us and we are extremely pleased. Our old brown bench will now be a coffee table in our other bedroom as it can't hold a candle to our new storage bench!

It came in a box that looked like it had been thrown around quite a bit and as a result had a small hole/tear in it. Since I was using it to store games, didn't want to hassle sending it back for a new one. However, I did decide to order a second one and it came in exactly the same way. Box was mangled and there was a tear in it.

I bought this 2 years ago for my entry way behind my front door where I have a cutout in my wall. It was longer than most similar benches and fits my space perfectly. I am using it to store throw blankets so I t doesn't get opened and closed regularly all year long, but rather, seasonally. The inside storage area is 45" wide by 14" deep and 9" high. I have three very large, Sherpa lined throw blankets fit inside of it. When it is opened the lid will stay up on it's own and it closes softly so I am not worried about it slamming shut on my toddler's hands or fingers. However, there is oil on the hinges on each side so I'd rather not have my toddler playing inside of it anyway and I keep my blankets away from the hinges. The bench is climbed on daily by my toddler who likes to play with her toys on top of it and it doesn't show any wear. It cost a little more than similar benches but it was also a tiny bit longer than most. I would recommend this bench. It would also be nice at the foot of a bed.

What a pleasant surprise to find this perfectly suitable ottoman on amazon. After reading several positive reviews and not finding anything preferable at a local consignment shop, I ordered this fabric storage ottoman. It's perfect for my smallish couch which is oddly 15-16" from the floor -- a challenge to find a unit that height. This one looks great and coordinates well with the rest of the room. One caveat is that it's hard-as-hell to sit on! I mean, to look at it, it appears lofty and comfy, but it's like sitting on a concrete step! Which is fine. It's NOT a chair. I like how it opens to store my knitting stuff. It works as a great place to put my feet up too. Definitely recommend!
